Morley fx blender causing distorsion?!?!

I purchased a Morley fx blender to hook up my verbzilla on Octo shimmer mode to create Edge-like sounds. Whenever I add in the effect it sounds distortored... Like I am driving an amp to hard. I bypass the fx blender and the verzilla sounds fine. I have the right connections on the Morley fx blender and the mix is level to the input level on the blender. What is going on? I am going to buy something from The Gig Rig... Seems they have a better product. Any other suggestions?
