custom cables
what's everyone using for custom pedal board cables? I really want to get George l's but they are so expensive, however am aware that you get what you pay for. What alternatives are out there and how do they compare both price and quality with george l's?

I don't think many people here are using GeorgeLs.
I see a lot of LavaCable (www.lavacable.com) and I see a fair amount of Bill Lawrence cable (search Bill Lawrence Wilde Cable). Some people make their own, too.

I build my own cables, both for the pedalboard and for the instrument cables. I use Mogami cable 2319 for the board and 2524 for the instrument cables. Also Nuetrik and Switchcraft for the plugs. Of course this involves soldering, but w/ the price savings and the quality of the end results, you can't complain. For the price that you pay for the price of a GL kit for the pedalboard, you can build yourself double the amount of what you paid for.
Redco.com sells the Mogami 2319 for .36/foot and Neutrik plugs start at $1 a piece and up.
