Floyd Rose trems: how to increase your sustain massively

Gents, I just had a new brass tremolo block installed on my Floyd Rose equipped guitar, purchased from Floydupgrades.com. There was a review in a recent Guitar World that was raving about them. I can't believe the difference. On clean settings, I've got to say the sustain is darn near twice what I had with the stock block. Very noticeable. (The theory is that the replacement block has more mass than the original, transmitting the vibrations better, and thus increasing the sustain.) On distorted settings, it feeds back (musically) at much lower volumes. I'm monitoring thru Revalver (don't worry, it eventually gets reamped thru a Triple Recto) and always had to crank the speakers and adjust where I was sitting to get usable feedback. Not anymore.

Tonally, I think it's better, too. I was showing the thing off to my wife and she definitely thot the tone was better.

$40 for the piece and my tech charged $60 to install it.

Highly recommended.
