getting 4 coolcats into an EHX worm box :-)

EHX worm - big and empty:

I'd like to get the TOD, drive, Fuzz and maybe the leslie in that box, plenty of room inside for more.

I'll pick up some new 3pdt switches tomorrow and start on the switch layout.
The whole thing will be repainted.

wish me luck!!!

You're planning to wire up a switch for each cool cat board? So effectively you would be able to stack 4 ODs in the same box? Way cool. Also, will you be posting a schematic on how you wired them up? I'm eager to put two circuits in the same box, but thus far haven't seen any schematics to learn how to wire them up.

Just in series. Simple as that - I'll add a 9v power jack and mount the switches and LEDs on the top. I'm working on having an EXP out for the worm effects - the megamod worm and an expression pedal should be enough for most gigs.
If only there was a CC analogue delay...

Cool man, so they'll all power off the same input jack? Way cool. I need to read up on wiring things in series I guess. I remember reading a thread where a guy stuck 3 Carbon Copy's in the same box - the Echo-Rex iirc. Freaking awesome.

Good luck with it, curious to see how it turns out!

Yeah that's cool. Definitely post results pics (and a how-to video)!

It's only a matter of drilling holes more or less, the rest is pretty straightforward.

Not much to report apart from this:

Line up so far:
CC fuzz V1
TOD V1
CC drive V1
CC chorus
Treble booster (new one at the back)
Micro amp (solo booster - also at the back)

+ the worm's modulated wah, phaser, tremolo and vibrato.

Of course it's not al wired in yet because I haven't had time, however I've mapped all the circuits and mainly done the knob placement prior to drilling the hell out of the old worm.

There will be 6 new switches on the top - staggered TB switches so as to avoid unwanted stomping on the wrong one.

wish me luck. Can't wait to get it finished.....

like a little mini-Cornish board, cool!

So you'll add control knobs and switches for all the new circuit boards, and keep the Worm functionality intact? Pretty impressive idea....

It's logical. I can't fit the worm on my medium sized board, so I'll put the other effects INTO the worm.
The control knobs and circuits are all in there already, just waiting for some switches to come before I start wiring up and drilling.

Believe it or not there is enough room in those things to stack 3 CC circuit boards on top of each other without problems, the switches will probably present more difficult obstacles though.
All the existing EHX nobs will be replaced by chicken head knobs too.

BTW the bass control for the TOD will be an internal trimpot before anyone does the maths and counts the knobs. :-)
