Buffer question....quick help.

Building a new board with a Loop-master. My MXR EVH phase 90 will be in one of the loops but my Dunlop Buddy Guy wah will be before the loopmaster....will it serve the purpose of a buffered pedal??

and a quick follow up....does a buffered pedal only serve as a buffer when it is on?
