New to daw/recording.

I want to do some recording.
Basically, I wanna use backing tracks and add vox and guitar.
I've just bought an HD500.
I believe I can add vox through the built in mic input

I want to make demos to put on a website. I don't need super quality.
Am I better getting the L6 software, or is there an easier/better alternative?

Ex here, just vox and backing track. Done in a local basic studio.
