Good Loop Pedal?

I'm looking for a good pedal I can use for looping my acoustic guitar, and I have no idea which one is good. The only ones I know of are the Boss RC2 and RC-20XL Loop Station. I'm a guy who likes to shop around get the one that's the best fit.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

just commented on another thread about this. I have the RC-2 I love it. It is THE pedal I can now not live without. It has built in drum patches that are very usable. I know boss is a bad word around here and its pretty silly. Its a great well made tough pedal.

The RC-3 and RC-30 were announced at NAMM this week... The specs on those pedals look incredible, and they're due out in the USA in the next month or so (You lucky people).

I'm going to go with the RC-2/RC-20. I have an RC-20 and love it for ease of use and great sounds. Don't really understand the comment on people around here hating on Boss (just a dig at TGP?) since I find alot of guys around here using Boss. DM-2 or DM-3, anyone? CE-1 or 2? I also have a Lo-Fi Loop Junky that I like alot more, but alas it doesn't have as many features, which is what your looking for.

Not a dig at all. Tgp is the only forum I read. Just an observation. I feel like boss gets a bad rap is all. The fact that we all have our opinions is what makes life fun.

The RC-30 looks really cool, particularly those options. Lo-fi? Sweep Filter? 2 track looping?

This really may be the looper (ie, pedal that loops) to get for the looper (ie, player that loops) that wants it all and/or can't decide which niche of looping they want to get into. Sure, the Boomerang does some stuff better, The Dl-4 does other stuff better, but this does stripped down versions of what all those pedals do and more.

I have GAS for this, despite owning an RC-20XL that does everything I need (I use it for practising) and a fully setup DAW!

The Boss XL20 is a good practice Looper, but i find it hard to use in a band context.

I have heard this is where the Boomerang shines.

I don't see how the RC-20XL is any harder to use than other loopers. Stomp on play, record your piece, stomp on it again for instant playback.

For doing wacky things other than overdubbing.... This is where I can see the RC-20XL begin to show its limitations for a live context.
