Great sound, I love Holdsworth.....its just a overdirve and the modfactor?

Do you record any songs using this sound?

That sounded really nice. I am struggling to get that sound from my Modfactor; could you help with settings?

Hi, thanks a lot!
Just overdrive and a tiny bit of delay and reverb.
So far I haven't recorded anything else with this sound(I used it live a couple of times), I'll let you know if I put something up!

Hi thanks so much!
The sound is one of the factory presets in bank 5(nr.1)
I got my modfactor this summer so I am guessing it has the latest software update. You should be able to get the same sound. It sounds much better with some overdrive or boost in front and I think it works well with the treble pickup. Let me know if this helps.

Thankyou! I will try it when I have some time later on today.

I find I only seem to use the Modfactor occasionally usually a bit of Phaser or Flanger, just the standard stuff; it is easy to forget just how many weird and wonderful sounds are in there!

Let me know if it works out, they sounds should be there at least if you have the latest software update. If not I'll try to dig up the sheet with the description of each factory preset and the exact settings.
I also got this unit for basic chorus, tremolo etc but was very happy to find this synth sound there-for me it is worth the whole unit by itself.

You are too kind sir!

But not to worry, the sound is indeed there. As you said it needs some drive before it. I went compressor, overdrive and then the Modfactor, and some delay from my Timefactor. Now if only I could actually play like Mr Holdsworth.........Thanks again for your kind help.

Hi, I am glad you found it, sounds like a good setup with some compression, overdrive and timefactor!
I wish I could play like holdsworth too, he is awesome.
Luckily I think this sound could be used for other stuff as well.

Great playing!
Would you mind sharing that timefactor setting?i have the same pedal but havent been able to get that subtle fattening delay for those smooth fusion leads?

Or point me in the right direction at least would be great:-)

Hey thanks!(takk for det, er fra Norge også).
I don't remember exactly the setting I used, probably the vintage-delay-setting. I generally use very little delay, few repeats and the mix-level is usually set low between 5-8. I also have some hall reverb from the Eventide space mixed in and I am using the bassfilter setting in bank 5 from the modfactor.
