Help with a Mountain bike purchase

Been out of biking for a long time. Looking to pick one up for intermediate trail riding and road riding.
My friends brother is selling this fisher for 325. I can't find any info on it. Was purchased new in 2007. All it says on the frame is bs 6102.

I was hoping to spend closer to 200 for something decent off Craigslist. I was thinking I would offer 250. Is this a good deal in the 250-325 range?
I don't know what the frame is but I would assume not steel.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure there are others that know a lot more about mountain bikes than I do but I think $325 is a GREAT price for this.

I bought an decent Diamondback bike a year ago and it was 200 bucks more and this one has a better fork.

Buy it because $200.00 will get you a crapola. I'm in the bicycle business, fork over the extra $.

I'm not worried about spending the extra $. Just want to be sure it's a decent reliable bike. A lot has changed since I owned my last bike and I'm not current on the newer trends and technologies. I found this trek for about the same price.

Seems like a cool bike. I'm saving up for a 29er myself.
