good ideas - i'd also listen to some stuff that u don't normally listen to

i grab the pandora & go thru the presets playing what comes to mind from the various sounds - usually i get stuck on something cool and end up writing a guitar part

Play with some other musicians, play an open mic, listen to new music, try an open tuning...it happens to the best of us. The other side of this could be amazing inspiration.

these are my go to's:

1/ go to some live shows
2/ jam with some interesting people
3/ try some alternate tunings
4/ turn my amp up ridiculously loud
5/ have a break for a little while
6/ check out some albert king clips on youtube
7/ listen to band of gypsys

Go out and see some live music, when I saw the TTB it made me want to go home and master some slide guitar.
