Alrighty, folks! It's Friday! And what's better than it being Friday? There's just two days left for me to bug you for votes in the Mazda Canada "Defy Convention" contest!

Thanks to those who voted! I ended up 6th, narrowly missing the finalist round.

Unfortunately with these kinds of contests, it's ALL about getting votes regardless of the quality or brand relevance of the entries until the final judging round. I missed the top five by a very slim margin. I probably only needed a dozen or so more votes.

I think if i had made it into the top 5, i would have had a really good shot at it. I got a lot of strong feedback on the message in my video, which i thought was strong, positive and blatantly defiant. A lot of the other entries were just sob stories or Mazda fans who just wanted a new car.

But c'est la vie... i gave it my best shot, but for whatever reason wasn't able to engage enough people to vote.
