The Screws on my Bridge are Slipping
Strat Trem Bridge
Options buy better saddles or put something on the adjustment screws. The "B" string drops so fast the string goes flat. LOCTITE? Any other ideas??????????

Loctite medium is great for this problem on loose height adjustment screws. Just a dab will do. If they are really bad, then yes new saddles would be best.

Blue loctite is your friend.
I used a tiny drop of superglue once on a guitar and it held fine. Loosened up with a soldering iron when I had to make an adjustment years later. Not the best choice given that loctite is readily available, but it works.

What does the saddle and screw look like under magnification?
Some of these parts, there's no precision at all in the machining. Even though the loctite does work, threshold level junky noise and unwanted motion from cheaply made parts is something I try to just be rid of, so it is gone and I can't stop worrying about it. |
