Looking for a good powered wedge for vocal monitoring.
This would just be for rehearsing...sometimes with a 15-watt combo and sometimes with a 150-watt full stack do it'll have to have some power. I just want to keep it simple so a powered wedge should do it. I'm flexible price wise.

Second the QSC K series. if space is an issue, the K 10 will also be more than adequate as a killer vocal monitor

Depends what your budget is. I'm using either k10's or k12's and it's hard to go wrong with either.

Another QSC thumbs up from me. The K series are very nice powered monitors. They sound good and can take a beating.

I would look at the JBL PRX612m. Cheaper, lighter, and made of wood compared to the QSCK12.

RCF ART 310A
Small. Sounds great. Less expensive than K10. Doesn't have as many bells and whistles but is a great monitor. http://www.rcf.it/en_US/products/pro...t-310-a-mk-iii |

I'll second the RCF box as well. Great stuff. Not the big name QSC, or JBL have going for them but great pro products.

I am using DXR12's as main speakers, but they work great as floor monitors as well. The processing called "D-CONTOUR" has monitor mode and it works surprisingly great. You can use it as a monitor without any EQ. I listened to almost all the powered cabs available at a local GC store (DXR12, K12, ELX112P, PRX612M and EON515XT), and DXR sounded the best. My friend also uses DXR10 as a vocal monitor and she loves it

I've used the Yamaha DXR10 as a vocal monitor and agree with Nick R. The DXR series is great, and the contour function makes them so instantly versatile.

EV ELX112P....can be had for under $500 NEW and sound as good or better than most that are close to double the price.
Enclosure is wood and requires careful handling during transport though
