Trying to find a bridge humbucker to go with neck p90

The neck p90 will probably be a Pure 90 by BG. Any recommendations for a humbucker for the bridge? I was thinking a Seth Lover but I'm not too sure.

I don't have any experience with the TV Jones Powertron. How is it different than a PAF humbucker? Why do you like it better?

The Powertron tends to have more clarity than most modern PAF types (not all, but most). and like P90's they can get good and snarly when cranked. While they do have enhanced mids when compared to regular Gretsch Filtertrons or TV Jones Classics, They are not as warm as most Gibson pickups. However, they have enough mids to compete and complement a P90 without going completely muddy.

Keep in mind P90's have 2 magnets whereas humbuckers just one.

I've had to use 2 weakened magnets in P90 neck slots or else it is just too overpowering and bassy over the bridge humbucker but it can be done successfully.

I used a Gibson Dirty Fingers with a Duncan neck p90, and I don't think I could find a better match if I tried. Yes, it's on the hot side of things, but holy hell do those pickups sound amazing together.

I'm actually in the same boat. I am looking for a mini humbucker that will go well with a p90 though. Any help would be great.

thanks

I'd probably ask Brian which of his buckers match up well.

I tried out a Gibson BFG Les Paul model because of it's pickup configuration of P90 in the neck and hum bucker in the bridge, thinking it would sound awesome. I thought it sounded like doo doo. Definitely check out a guitar with this configuration for yourself to see if you like it before you pull the trigger.
