So what is everyone using to reduce sound out of the studio? do many of you have the 'room within a room' or are you just putting up sound boards or changing the dry wall to quiet rock? Im about to convert my unused basement room into a studio and am looking for tips. I realize I wont make it totally soundproof but any products or links to things that reduce would be most appreciated.

ps- i am ripping the room down to the studs FYI

I'm not sure "great" is a strong enough adjective for your buddy's skills. SICK pics & sic studio!!!

I love this thread, you guys have some incredibly cool gear and rooms! Here's my little spot "where the magic happens":

Off to the side are a Vox AC15C1 and a Fender Pro Junior and a few mics. Ignore the room treatment - I was given a box of Auralex and the wife took it upon herself to "decorate" my room while I was on a business trip.

Overall, it doesn't sound bad at all. It's not much, but it keeps me entertained.
