Amen RustyAxe!. Try barring an F chord with an improperly cut nut. If too high, your hand will tire and if too low or uneven, you will have dead spots and buzzing.
Sad to say, but I've replaced the nut on most of my guitars over the years to bone that was to my specs. I love my luthier (professionally speaking). One set up properly, you should be able to play anywhere on the neck and capo fearlessly wherever you want. |

Martin 000-18 or 000-28
I think they are perfect, and they are easier to play because of their smaller size and shorter string scale length which translates to a big sound, easy playability and a lesser string tension. Last edited by tylerfreak; 03-31-2012 at 10:15 PM. |
