I liked the idea of the black and white and retro cinematography. Band was tight and grooving. For me, it lacked any guitar to grab me. Harp was nice but it needed some master guitaring to grab my attention more. Felt like that type of tune for me.
Also, I would like to have seen a few moments of the band in action. As for lack of comments, this forum tends to be "quid pro quo". Comment unto others and they will comment unto you...... Just sayin'

Yea! I liked it. Cool groove, tight band. I like the singer and background vocals.

Thanks for the comments guys.
@ Scott for the lack of guitar at this track; this song will be part of an album that is dominated by guitars, I liked this song to sound a little different and put the keyboards more upfront. |

We recorded the drums in our rehearselspace ( a barn), using AKG D12 on the bassdrum, shure 57's on snare and toms and 4 Rode nt5's as overheads,
M-audio pre's/AD converters straight into Sonar Producer 8. Bass through a TL Audio Fatman compressor straight to disk, guitars Eleven rack, keyboards are all Nord Stage 3, vocal recordings through Joe Meek large condenser mike and Joe Meek VC 3 compressor. The mix relies mainly on UAD compressors, Waves L2 and SSL channel plugins. |
