It's not entirely inconceivable that it's covering factory neck reset either immediately after production or as warranty work. If it was reset before shipping new I would tend to think it would have been stamped second but who knows.

I would not let this keep me from buying the guitar if it played well and sounded good. It looks to be as old as the guitar and stable. I can't really really state if it's factory work or a good luthiers work early on. You might try black lighting it.
