Actually, they DID do one in 2011--but only for the European market.

I read somewhere recently that Pete Townsend plays Clapton Strats.

So would that make it the Pete Townshend model Eric Clapton model Stratocaster?

Pete's are slightly modified to add a piezo, but yes, they are Torino Red EC Strats w/ Lace Sensors.

Plus ones for the
Jimmy Page Dragoncaster
Peter Buck Rick

How about Fender reviving the Guild Electric Line and giving us a

Kim Thaiyl from Soundgarden s-100
Jack Cassidy StarFire Bass
Jerry Garcia StarFire, he had one on the first album...I think there were a few popular bluesmen in the 60's that played Starfire too.

I have no problem with the sigs. Often, the artist takes a very active role in making the instrument be all it can be...those are the good ones anyway.
I'd love for the companies to keep them affordable too.

I have 2 sigs in my arsenal.

Ibanez JS1000
Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar
