Los angeles : 1967 es-335 missing

Sadly, it has gone missing during a load in at my apartment. It was stolen out of my car while I was making a trip up after a long day of sessions. Had a lot of gear to take up and somehow the 335 was taken.

I am totally devastated over this as I have never bought a guitar of this caliber for myself and it was not an easy acquisition for me to make. (I bought this guitar over buying a car.) Since I am trying to make a living here in LA, playing guitar, this is a huge loss for me and feels like a big step backwards.

I've never had an instrument taken from me and it hurts. It leaves me kind of running around and I don't know what to do so I am posting this here in a desperate attempt to make anybody aware.

Here's a photo:

Obviously there are lots of unique things about the guitar and I think it would be pretty recognizable. The gold Bigsby with the rest being Nickel hardware is a particularly odd feature of note.

Thanks for your time..

Here is the craigslist ad with a phone number: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...175226663.html

Hi, this thief probably sold it to a pawnshop, this thief isn't the kind of thief that plans things this thief just takes what ever he/she thinks is worth some money. I would call the pawnshops but don't say your looking for a stolen guitar because they payed for it and don't want to lose money, Instead call and tell them your looking for a guitar like the one in the picture. I hope you get your guitar back.

Jesus Bless

Hey Jove, sorry to hear about that, man. Keep an eye on Arizona Craigslist, we have an employee who had some stuff stolen, and found it being sold on there. Best of luck.

ill be keeping my eyes open down in long beach area for this. im not sure if it will help but can you file a police report on this, dont items at pawn shops have to go through a police stolen registry or something? or is that just folklore they tell you at guitar center when used items are on hold?

Yes, they do. it's called leadsonline. File a police report with the serial number. If it winds up in a pawn shop, law enforcement will be notified. It doesn't hurt to do your own leg work too though. Pawn shops have to hold items a period of time before they can be sold.
