Don Was interview -John Mayer, The Rolling Stones, Brian Wilson

So, I already posted this interview in a thread about John Mayer's upcoming album, Born and Raised, but I thought that this needed his own theard.

Just becase this interview is too awesome.

Of course the highlight is the impression he got from working with John Mayer, I can't help it. But I do really liked the whole thing, really clever stuff.

He talks about producing, The Rollling Stones,Brian Wilson,...

Hope you enjoy!

Don is a great guy, no ego, has an enormous respect for musicians. He's right about Ann, she always does great interviews and she ain't hard to look at either.

I really enjoyed that, thanks for posting.

I must confess to have never of heard of Ann Delisi until now. She is very good at what she does.

Eeenteresting. Listening now. I was just listening to Blessed by Lucinda Williams this weekend, which he also produced and played all over.

Someone posted a clip of some band he was playing a Firebird in a while back... can't for the life of me remember who it was, but I remember thinking that was quite possibly the closest TGP ever came to a consensus. Just some of the most badass playing any of us have ever heard. Anyone else remember that? Care to repost?

Very cool interview. Wonder who it was that he called a cold fish? Lucinda?
