Acoustic and electric at the same time

I'm currently drooling over an Anderson Crowster Plus in the Emporium, but it's out of my price range. Are there any guitars out there that do the same trick? Solid live acoustic tones and electric sounds at the same time - able to mix the two or just have one at a time. I've seen Fender's Acoustasonic tele, but the only electric pickup is in the neck. Anyone know anything else?

I'd call it "acoustic-ish" sound, but I was pleased with the ghost graphtech bridge I had in a lp. Tried a fishman power bridge too, which was also decent, but preffered the ghost. IMO these are the best way of getting acoustic(ish) and electric sounds out of one guitar. Pretty simple to set up too, at least in it's most basic incarnation. One can get exceedingly complicated (while adding versitility) if desired.

Yes, I have one for sale here.

I'd say ghost too- it's probably as close as you're going to get without using an acoustic.

Years ago I had a Godin LGSXA that had the piezo saddles for either acoustic tones or midi control. With the 2 outputs I could switch between the piezo or the humbuckers on the fly. It had an acoustic like sound, and worked great for playing out and switching between the 2.

Parker Fly. I use one a LOT. Run the acoustic side through a Fishman Aura and get a better acoustic tone than the other guys playing with real acoustics. So good, in fact, I quit taking my Taylor 814CE out to play live.

I've got a Godin LGX... great player and the piezo is excellent. A very nice substitute for the real thing but I'm not going to claim the tone you get is identical to a proper acoustic - but for my purposes it's amazing.

I have been doing this for years, with great success, and have owned or played almost everything that can do it.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the Crowdster Plus 2 for this.

Godin Montreal or Flat Five X (discontinued, but still around new) are great for this, too. (Godin is, imho, the leader in affordable two-voice guitars.)

Carvins are available like this, too.

Ovation had one that was VERY good 2 or 3 years ago, you might find it used.

Fender had the Nashville Deluxe Power Tele and Strat. not bad at all.

You can outfit any guitar with a Fishman PowerBridge, Baggs X-Bridge, or Graphtech Ghost, too.

I run my PRS holowbody with pizeo through a tube amp and an acoustic amp with two seperate cables, I like the way it sounds.

I would also love to try an Anderson Crowdster Plus 2.

I have run my PRS HB II the same way, but usually just mix the piezo with the magnetics as needed with stereo out (both sets of pups to both amps). It's a good mix to my ear.
