This thread has been a pleasure but I'm out here, I have to go and do something more fun. I just heard that if you hammer water for a few hours with and iron hammer there's a chance that it will change its mind and become something else.

No, it defaults to the 'proper' real life counterpart.

But you have ears and can adjust this (*in the amp block within the 'spkr' tab) without anything blowing up or going deaf doing it.

The Axe-FX II has a visual guide in the forms of graphs so you can not only 'hear' what you are doing, but see it at the same time. It allows you to quickly grasp the concept and dial up exactly what you want independent of what IR you are using.

Ahh, yes. The "I heard somewhere" argument. We all know how persuasive that one is....

Now there's a world-shattering discovery. You'd have to look as far back as earlier posts of mine in this thread to uncover that one.

There's you, setting up a straw man.

Why not sell them or share them?
And there's you, knocking it down.

In the case of the "real life counterparts" with which I am familiar, I disagree with this.

Fair enough; but it works in practice for me. My application and performance of my gear to my ear matters more to me than being right in any absolute sense. I'm happy, so it is good by me. Fair enough for you? That's your call, not mine. We don't need to agree to both be happy.

I don't know "All AFX users," nor, I suspect, do you. You'll excuse me if I refrain from making such a mindless generalization....
