Short Clip - Axe-FX II Fender w/Tape Delay and Rotary

What I like about these sorts of tones is that you don't hear the effects as 'separate' from the tone; it is just part of it.

I don't do big wet effects; this is from my Fender Twin preset with some reverb, some tape delay (though it's not a showcase for that) and then some rotary.

Just felt like cutting this - did it at night, headphones only and recorded direct.

Not comparing it to anything, not trying to prove anything, not trying to convince anyone of anything. Just a clip. Just for fun.

Very nice Scott. I like the way that the efx ARE part and parcel of the tone there!

2.5 years of owning the axe and I never used the rotary or the flanger, phaser, ring mod, looper, multi comp, or resonator. I really ought to give them a go. That rotary here is nice.

PS: I did use the wah on two songs a year ago.

Hey Scott is this the new True Tape Delay or the older one?

Not had chance to listen yet on decent speakers.

Cheers and happy Christmas

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. But I definitely want to start digging into the FX more.
I guess you can't use the looper without a pretty serious foot controller, right? That is something I definitely want to get into as well. I NEED MORE TIME!

I haven't spent any time with the looper either. You will need a foot controller with enough IA switches to do what you want (drive, delay, chorus, etc...) and enough buttons left over to assign at least two buttons to the looper as a minimum (Rec, Play). The GC Pro is probably the least expensive option to give you enough flexibility.

Regarding the OP, I REALLY like the clean tones with FW 3.04. A definite improvement. I was not very happy with the clean amp models prior to this update and struggled to get patches that would work with both single coils and hum buckers. Not having that problem with 3.04.
