Does this look like a real attenuator?
I mean it looks pretty legitimate. I want a REAL power sucker, not some crappy volume control pedal, but for 80 bucks, I might get some piece of junk. Not that it's bad, I'm just trying to be careful. So is it a legit attenuator?

It is a legit dummy load attenuator 50W @16 ohms. The entirely enclosed small case doesn't look very reliable, though. 50W is a lot of heat. Here's a gutshot, look's like a power rheostat but I'd be somewhat vary about the claimed 50 watts:
