Piezo/humbucker to PA/Amp double switcher?

Hi, I'm hoping someone might have an answer to my newest gear conundrum...

I have a Godin A6 Ultra, with a humbucker and a piezo.

I can blend the signals through a single cable, or I can run both out in two outputs, with the humbucker going to a guitar amp and the piezo going to the PA. To swap between an acoustic sound and electric (distortion for example), I simply lower the piezo volume and raise the humbucker volume.

HOWEVER...

I want to be able to switch immediately between twinkly acoustic tones and chunky electric tones without having to move two sliders in opposite directions.

Is there a switch that can take two input signals and output to two different outputs?

So - Input A goes to Output A, with Output B muted and then, when you switch it, Output A is muted and Input B now goes to Output B.

It sounds like it's either very simple, or incredibly complicated to do... All help welcome - I don't mind building my own switches or buying things that work - though the only thing I've found that seems nearly close is the Palmer Triline pedal, but that's about £400!
http://www.adamhall.com/en/Palmer_Tr...ar_Router.html

Alternatively, I run a TC Electronic G System and might be able to do something with remote switching using the jack relays, though that might be even more complicated.

So, in summary: I need a pedal that can go between 'Twinkle' and 'Hrrrock' in one footswitch, while muting the output that's not in use.

Help!

If you use one cable from the guitar into an A/B pedal it would be just a case of using the footswitch. Loopmaster does them...

If you need a 'custom' one that has two inputs and A/B outputs, if you email him, I'm sure he can put one together.

That Tonebone seems to be ideal - it's still $250 or so though!
/Edit/ - Though it still seems that you'd have to click both footswitches to get the Acoustic off and the Electric on... //edit//

The guitar into an AB pedal isn't going to work though Tony - I either need an AA BB pedal, or I'd need to hit the switch and still change the sliders on the guitar. Also, in 'mixed' mode, there's still Piezo in the mixed signal. It's only completely separated if you run two cables out.

Cheers for the speedy advice so far though!

Thanks for the link though Tony - this looks close to what I need - http://www.loop-master.com/product_i...7nut49onebcte0

I just need to hit both of those switches at once so that the inputs are switched AND the outputs too at the same time. I'll drop him an email...

Or see if you can find an inexpensive looper with two loops. Magnetic pickups go in the input, mag output from loop 1, piezo goes into the return from loop 2 and output goes from output. If you set them up so only one loop is on at a time, then toggle both switches at the same time, you'll have your double AB pedal. You can build it for $30 in parts...

I'd thought of using a looper (I also have a Carl Martin Octaswitch, so I can have a play) - but loopers only come with one output, and I need two outputs (one to guitar amp and the other to PA or acoustic amp) - I can't see how I'd work a looper in there...

I have the Octaswitch also.
Loop 8 is stereo, and there are two outputs on the Octa.
You could connect your Piezo to, only, the "B" channel in loop 8.
Then you would have a preset, with loop 8 active, that would be only the Piezo going to output "B" of the Octa.
Loops 1-7 would be your Mag pickup through output"A".

Try this with the Octa-Switch:

* Make a short cable with a stereo plug on one end and a female socket on the other end (connected to the ring).
* Stereo plug goes into the return on loop 8
* Piezos plug into the socket
* Take left and right out to the two different amps

Whenever you select a patch with loop 8, magnetic pickups will be muted and piezos turned on. If the guitar amp picks up noise when magnetics are muted, connect tip to ground in the stereo plug.

You might also find that you can just insert a normal mono cable to the first click on the return and it will do the same (like with using a mixer insert as a send).

HTH!

I'd forgotten about the two outputs on the Octaswitch! Nice solutions there that sound like they might work. This could be my chance to add another acre of pedals to my stage setup!

I've also just been pointed at this: http://www.loop-master.com/product_i...roducts_id=237 which seems a rather more compact solution to the issue.

Keep the suggestions coming!

Typical: Look what Morley has just come out with - looks ideal

Though I'd just ordered one of these:

Which does the job I'm after too.
