Need to fill an empty space on my PT-JR (P&W Player)

The ts9 is currently just filling space. I had a Micro POG there but didn't use it much so it's gone. Don't think I need another drive, but I could be wrong.

Looking for something I haven't thought of... Size can be from normal boss style to maybe a Diamond Comp/Barber Tone Press size... I could even move the tuner above the vp to make room for something in the size of a POG 2 (Not necesarily these pedals, just giving size references).

I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks!

Looks really solid to me as it is! I'd go with a compressor as my first option, but then you'd want to consider moving the VP around so that it's after compression for smoother swells. A Dyna Comp is my personal favorite, but the Diamond Comp gets LOTS of love here.

Or, maybe a modulation of some kind - phase, flange, or chorus - so you can kick on a slightly different flavor every now and then. Hard to beat a Phase 90 or any of the Boss boxes (PH-3, CE-2, BF-2) here.

Sell the TS9 and the RV5 and get a Strymon BSR.

I've thought about it, but the modulation setting on the rv5 is a pretty important part of my sound (As it is for many other players). The BSR, to me, seems like something I would only turn on during slow, ambient parts. I leave the rv5 on all the time and occasionaly just turn up the mix if I want more wash...

Totally open to selling the ts9, and the Monte Allums Rat 2 I have to fund this 'space filler' ;-)

Definitely considering the Diamond Comp as an always on... even the Strymon Comp/Boost looks very interesting!

Is there something special about the modulation on the RV-5? The BlueSky has a modulation mode, too. It also has a favorite switch, which would allow you to have a less noticeable, always-on setting and still switch in a more pronounced reverb.

Just to clarify, I don't have a BlueSky, but I plan to get one someday.

I use the Butah for open, low gain sounds. Signa for tubescreameresque, medium gain leads, and boost it with the Butah for more. Just ask Chad, these 2 were made to stack!

Tremolo! Depending on your budget you could get a Boss TR-2 or if you have the money something like a Monster Effects Swamp Thang would be awesome with your setup.

Comp (I like mine after drives, before VP) or trem. The comp really helped my sound when using delays - could be rig dependent though.

If you don't have an obvious need, why not save the money and not get a pedal?
