Ever received a threat on your guitar(s) by someone?

Someone threatening to destroy your guitar(s)?

A spouse? Drunken neighbour maybe?

An ex of mine once said she'd throw a guitar out the window in one of her hysteric rages.
I told her she'd be following it.

Not a guitar, but I was trying to teach myself the tin whistle back in college. Some pre-med student who was studying for some big test came to my dorm room and said if I didn't stop playing he would break the whistle in half and shove it down my throat. We were friends. He was just a little stressed.

I don't know the story, but a guy in the same dorm had his Martin smashed to bits by his room mate. Can't imagine how that one played out.

Yes and then I got in a fistfight with him after the gig and Jeff Beck popped in from around the corner and helped me strangle him with his own shoes. That was the last time he did that to me or anyone else. If you threaten my guitars, be prepared to die...

Nah, never had anyone threaten me like that, thank goodness.

BUT - when my younger brother would get mad at me when we were teenagers, he'd turn the tuning pegs on my SG so I'd have to re-tune.

Yep. If that's as bad as it gets, I'm ok, huh? :-)

I always planned on doing a CD cover with all my guitars together, my (ex)wife holding a torch and chain saw to them as my sons held me back.
I could see her actually burning them and saying "oh, I thought those were props...oops".

(Actually, the divorce mediator said "Now, we'll split up the worth of the guitars", to which Sheryl answered sternly "No, leave them alone. They are his.")
