Dunlop JH-F1 Hendrix FuzzFace: One of the best deals out there.

I cant get over how much i like this pedal, vintage sounding, looks great, inspires my playing, not expensive, just a winner.

I find it really versatile in what in adds to my setup too, from full on rawk to rolled back cleanish low gain tones that also sound amazing run into an OD, the brightness that it gives when the volume knob is rolled back adds another, different texture to my choice of tones. Smooth it with an OD and the synergy just works. Its the closest I have got to vintage Hendrix tones in a home/low volume setting

Yeah it not pedalboard friendly but i could forgive it just about anything.

In that enclosure and that tone, it could easily costs HEAPS more if made by a boutique builder.

I feel the same way about the MXR Classic 108 Fuzz. Very Similar, but Pedalboard Friendly Enclosure, DC Adapter Ready, and has a Buffer Switch that works like a Bright switch.

The first 3 are always ON for Dirt, and I use the Sovereign as a Solo Boost.

And the components inside ARE used by another boutique builder that charges WAY more........it is a steal for how awesome it sounds.

It was an impulse purchase for me. But JH-F1 turned out to be the best pedal I've bought for a long time. It really is an inspiring pedal. I really dig land mine enclosure.

I put it between my guitar and amp as an only pedal and crank the knobs for some fuzzy goodness.

I had one for a while and eventually sold it because I could cover very similar ground with my Lunar Module Deluxe, and the LMD is more pedalboard friendly, consistent, and can be used with AC power. I really liked the JH Fuzzface, though - simple, distinct, and rockin! I've been getting some stellar results running my fuzzes into a Tim and using the Tim to tweak the EQ. I'm sure that the JH Fuzzface would sound awesome in this setup as well. Great pedal! It's inexpensive enough on the used market that I plan to pick another on up sometime in the future.

It says a lot that Analog Man lauds it despite selling his own Sun Face...

But personally, I've always thought that it should be the David Gilmour Fuzz Face, if anyone's. Not suggesting that he'd definitely want to put his name to it.
