reason im asking is because i'm gettin a peedaltrain, and plan to have 8 pedals, maybe the PT2 would be cutting it a bit tight?..... Anyone with experience there? thx

I have an idea... find out the dimensions of the PT2 and then arrange your pedals and see if they fit in those dimensions.

Sounds like you'd be better off with a PT jr.

Nope. Love the PT-2. Find to be perfect in size. I got a huge ass pedalpad did my board one night, used it for a couple of weeks and hated it. Quickly went back to the PT-2.

I'll check it out I'll check it out Thanks man , thats what I wanted from people. I dont wanna buy the PT3 and find its too big and clumsy. At the same time I dont want to buy the PT2 and find I cant fit wah, empressor, zendrive2,anadime chorus, hartman flanger,SOV2, timeline and turbo tuner all at the same time. |

I have recently bought the PT-2 for a 8-10 pedal set-up. I have a Wilson wah on the RHS, then 4 boost/OD/fuzz pedals at the front, which includes the Holy Fire (biggish box) and Blackout Effectors Twosome (big box!). Behind that I have a TU-2, phaser, delay (Flashback) and reverb (RV-7).
All fits on comfortably. |

![]() Back when I had a PT-2, I routinely fit 10/11 pedals on there, including volume and a Boss double-size. You'll be a'ight.

![]() Here's my PT2, you should have no problem fitting around 10 pedals on it. I'm glad I got this size because its big enough for everything I really need and it keeps me from putting too many pedals on. I think the PT2 and PT3 are the same length width wise, the difference is that the PT3 has 5 rows and the PT2 has 4 rows. The PT3 is perfect if you use a true bypass loop strip that you can put on the first row and still have 4 rows for your pedals. You could also put pedals on sidewise. I don't like sideways pedals and I don't use a true bypass loop strip so I went with the PT2 (also, the PT3 wasn't out when I bought it, but I would still go with the PT2 now). |

WOW all you guys are making a strong case for the PT2. Maybe theres a psychological aspect too, if you have too many pedals n flashing lights , it can be confusing for some.
Because its my first, I wanna do it right and not switch. (I already took the space back because of its tone suck, i dont want to take a PT2 back in a year and say ...."I want a board that looks like Doyle Bramal the Thirds!!" (in a big bellowing Monty Python like voice) That being said .... any PT3 users out there that found a useful difference. If not, I think I'll do the PT2. |

I wish Pedaltrain add TWO MORE INCHES to width*not depth* for PT-2 cause I dislike not to have my Wah and VP on the pedal together :[
