Dead Meadow Wah pedal

Hey guys! I have a question about a wah pedal. I talked to Jason Simon of Dead Meadow about how he got the trippy sound from his wah pedal in this song.

He told me he had a Dunlop Crybaby that buzzed like crazy but eventually broke. He said it was "Half broken" Does anybody have any idea how I could "break" my wah pedal to sound like that? The wah is after a proco rat. I know for a fact that is the order before he changed his pedal board.
