is there a non-vintage pricing guide?

hi everyone

i've got an 05' Epi LP custom shop w/ Gibson 490/498 pickups im just trying to find a baseline price for...



any ideas what im looking at getting for this?

kinda helps but with the Gibson USA pups not sure how that affects the price

Search "epiphone custom shop les paul" they all seem to have Gibson pickups - $300-400 range

You can check the "blue book" value if you know someone at a pawn shop or music store that has one. Otherwise just look at completed Ebay listings. In these parts you can score a faded Gibson Les Paul for not too much more than $400 if you're patient.

Gibson pickups don't help much. Check eBay, but I'd say around 350-375

Use eBay Completed auctions. They'll give you the honest truth if you can find a comparable sale. Another good rule of thumb is that it won't be worth more than two-thirds what it cost new, and many times, only half what it cost new (actual sale price, not "list" price). Upgrades on new guitars are basically sunk costs. No matter how much you spend putting on new tuners, pickups, etc. you can't expect to get that money back in a sale. For a trade in or pawn shop value, find the lowest comparable cost on eBay and cut it in half.
