Not nearly enough Kemper news for me... total bust for digital gear.
The amp world seems pretty wild, soon amps will be so small and such low wattage that they will eventually disappear lol!

Well.... two products caught my interest. Pigtronix new looping device and the Tripleplay Midi thingy by Fishman.
The main players like Line 6, Kemper, Avid, Boss, Roland, Digitech? Not so much really.

But wait: the Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar? Hmmm... that I want to check out.

I thought NAMM was "Killer" this year! Fender has some really cool R&D stuff going on. PRS introduced a couple of "mindblowers". Gibson had the really nice stuff hidden away............. but at least they let everyone into the booth!

i expected a lot from digital gear makers. too many years of old stuff. vox digitech, zoom (maybe new g9 version).

idk maybe some vendors just geting out it and doing something else beside budget modelers since they have less attraction with bigger boys in market.

100% not happy with dongle product trends.

I thought the new Line 6 live sound technology was really cool and from a pure techology standpoint, quite an achievement. The powered cab is too big to use as a modeling FRFR (at least for me) but I was told by the Line 6 rep that it was designed to be scalable and they have plans to scale it both up and down in size. He wouldn't get into the specifics, but if they bring out a 1x10 version of that cab with all of the technology intact, it might be a great cab for guitar modeling.

success or failure is dependent on one's expectations

Hard to follow up the past 12+ months: AxeII, Kemper, S-Gear, Fender Mustang, JTV Variax, Zoom G3, GR-55, ...

If every year were like last year, we'd all be broke.

for some reason, i'm really interested in Akai's EIE audio interface.
Just seems like it's undercutting the competition at that price.

Really not a bad year for NAMM in that context.

Peace,
