Great musicians, but a monumental waste of time spent on tunes of that quality. Also, I feel a strong urge to strangle the singer. Just my $.02 and it's probably worth less than that.

That was pretty awesome even if the song is not so much. Bass player is amazing!

Pretty much the opposite. Time very well spent. Those tunes got them hits on Youtube, and landed them a deal. They're recording their originals now.

Brilliant marketing scheme.

30 seconds and google.

I was starting to think I was the only musician in the world that doesn't dig it.

I would be interested to hear a record if they put their talents to good songs.

What will make me laugh is if they record their own songs, and they don't sound as good as the covers they "normally" seem to play. And there is a VERY good chance their own material might not sound as good as the covers.
They could end up with some generic fusion thing. I'd love to hear them write some decent pop stuff and apply their skills to that. Mark my words though, their own record probably wont sound as good as these trite covers.

Well sure, that's kinda the point.

I'm not a pop guy but I'll take real musicianship over the manufactured crap any day.

My point is that the only people who like this stuff are musicians.

They grow on ya! I never really liked them until I actually LISTENED. Holy crap. If pop music would take a lesson from these guys, the world would be a better place.

Only a TGP'r, who spends more time behind a computer than actually practicing an instrument, could criticize these musicians.....
