Which QB is more likely to be starting next season?

Which of these two quarterbacks from this year do you believe is more likely to be the starting quarterback for their team for a majority of the season next year?

I gotta go with Alex Smith. Simply because being here in Carolina, I have 9 years of the John Fox experience. I don't feel like I'm going out on a limb to say that if Fox could get a veteran QB, he'd be starting him over Tebow and saying things like " 'X' QB gives us the best chance to win, week in, week out." I heard that line for most of 2009, then all of 2010.

Definitely Smith. He's made major strides this year & led his team to an insane 13- 3 record & damn near an NFC Championship. I'm not sure what else he needs to do to prove himself.

Tebow is still a project. Next year will be very interesting for him & the Broncos.

Is this a joke? There is absolutely no comparison between these two quarterbacks. Alex Smith had a GREAT year, and will most definitely be back!

Elway has already stated that Tebow will start. Alex Smith has proven he's on the way up with great coaching.
The question is misleading because they both will start.

Agreed, thread title is misleading, but the poll question itself is clearer:

Which QB will be the likely starter for the majority of next season?

I believe Elway only commited to Tebow being the starter going into preseason, not the regular season.

I think whoever has the most viable alternative going into the season will get pulled the fastest.

The last Elway quote I heard is that Tebow will be the starter coming into training camp. With Fox and Elway I would say the Tebow train could come to a halt at the first snap of the regular season.

I agree with the premise of Smith but something needs some shaking. An 18 second, three & out with the game on the line? Not gonna get it done. I would liked to have seen Smith really take charge and make a statement drive.

It would have helped if he had a good wide receiver to throw to.

Smith should have no trouble making it through the season as starter. Tebow will not make it. At some point, he will get benched.

Neither QB will bring his team a championship. As a Niners fan, I think we've seen the high-water mark with Smith. The days of the "game manager" type QB winning Super Bowls are over, at least for the time being.

Tebow's championship prospects are obviously not worth mentioning.

He has not said that. He has said that Tebow will be the starter going into training camp. Who starts next year will be like any other year, the QB who performs best in training camp.
