Now That NAMM is Over...
As I've mentioned in other threads I was waiting to see what NAMM brought before making up my mind about what to do since getting rid of an RP1000. The big choices now seem to be Line6, Boss, Zoom and Fender (Mustang Floor). So now the research begins. I was curious to hear how NAMM has affected anyone's purchase plans?

I envy you LOL I'd love to get a Kemper or Axe II but I just can't justify the cost. The Wife and I are coming out a very bad ordeal financially. We're on top of things now and I want to get a nice little rig going for home use that I can also take to a jam if the opportunity comes up.

On budget the G3 is insanely good but you still need to amplify it, same for the other units. What about a Mustang?

I was hoping for something to replace my RPs, but no dice.

Funny, I was waiting for something new from Digitech and it didn't happen.
I just bought a used RP1000 (at a killer price) for my back up/small gig/practice rig. I'm sticking with the GSP1101 until something new comes out.

Another RP is a possibility. If I ran it with amps/cabs bypassed and used my HW Valve Distortion in the stomp loop I'd have what I need. I'm having a hard time convincing myself I need anything from this NAMM.

If I decided to go with a GT100 I'd definitely wait. Boss makes a mean M/E unit but unless the amp sims are in a league with Zoom and L6 I just can't see spending that kind of money. I don't have much experience with Mustang amps but I had a Cyber Deluxe that was really impressive. Seems like The Mustang Floor into a tube amp could be a real winner.

So Will, it seems as though maybe you would put the G3 out "front" of the amp and then it sounds like maybe you are hoping the GT-100 will have all the effects that you would place in the amps loop..? Or are you hoping the GT-100 will be an "all-in-one" solution for you..?
