Briggs 1 year Anniversary

Coming up on my 1 year year anniversary since my Jack Briggs Classic was completed. This guitar continues to satisfy, deliver the goods and get better and better like fine wine as it ages.

It pretty much accomplished exactly what I was shooting for with a Korina back and neck, 1 piece Maple top and a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. At about 9.1lbs,(I chose the heavier wood) it has the girth of a Les Paul and a clarity unlike your typical(yet proven) maple/mahogany sandwich.

All I can say is "Thank you Jack and great job!" Sorry I won't be going into the whole fanboy thing... Just consider me a very satisfied customer.

From Jack...

The burst is almost impossble to photograph properly. It is dark and transluscent, but not quite as dark as the above pics.

Here are a few pics I took a while ago and yesterday. I still can't nail the way it looks in person.

Great to hear you are enjoying your Briggs Classic Larry. I am coming up on five years on my 1st Classic and three years on my 2nd.

Also, good for you not being a fanboy. I recently saw two old threads from 5 to 6 years ago that recently resurrected from the dead that I posted on that I felt was a little fan-boyish re-reading the post all these years later. Funny thing is I do not own any of those guitars/amps anymore...

Pure beauty.

Sometimes one cannot help but be a fanboy when the quality is this good.

When it comes to Briggs guitars - I'm not Mr Cool - you can call me fanboy.

Larry is correct about this guitar being even more impressive to view in person. I'll be the fanboy! It is also just a flat out amazing musical instrument, period. It's visual appeal is simply "gravy" as far as I'm concerned. Nice when both happen things at this high level...looking forward to seeing and hearing that remarkable guitar again.

Jack's work is beyond impressive.

Jack's guitars continue to delight me too.

Believe it or not, the burst doesn't have rust or red in it. That's why I say it's so hard to photogragh accurately.

Yes Sir! Actually seems longer in the sense it feels like an old friend and the tons of enjoyment I have gotten out of it.

Larry, that still is one of the most attractive bursts I have ever seen, regardless of builder. Love the old school vibe and shading. The dark board just tops it off.
