Thanks guys/gal who've helped out: to the rest... SMB

[off-topic]coolhand78: If it's your first time going or you're just looking for a new place to visit definitely go check out the Matamp factory. It's an awesome place with loads of history and awesome staff who are courteous and knowledgeable. It's just a great place for anyone who likes gear and/or is interested in the history of rock music.[/off-topic]
It's funny you say that coz Andrew who works at matamp is a very good friend of mine. We'll definitely be dropping by, he was out here at Christmas so we caught up then... Hopefully my minimat arrives in the next fortnight too!

Andrew is an absolute champion! He helped me out a bunch with my amp though I never got to meet him when I was up there.

Hope you enjoy the Minimat! Definitely a wicked little amp. I own a First Lady which was kind-of the predecessor to the Mini.

Well, anyway, back to talking about the man P-Cornish and the pedals... I guess it'll be six to nine months till I have something to worthy contribute.

Great thread.

I used to have a P1, G2, SS3, LD3 and Super Chorus many years ago but stopped playing guitar!!!! Im now rebuilding my studio after recovering from injury and want my tone back

Can anybody confirm the sizes of the black smaller boxes (Im planning on racking mine and punching them in via MIDI in various combos with my TC2290 and other racks etc

Are the smaller black non battery are cheaper then the traditional grey boxes??

Also for US people do we pay less then the list price since we don't pay VAT??

Black box size roughly - 5.5 X 3 5/8 x 2 inches

Prices is the same, taxes and all that get added on when your order is ready.

But I'm determined to keep only one..question is, which one? Live test tomorrow.

Was pitting the SS3 against the Fulldrive, but both different animals. They each do their thing well. A more suitable comparison to the SS3 would be the Timmy perhaps? But the SS3 is making me happy, so it's staying.

Have an LD-3 en route. Thinking of picking up a GigRig Quartermaster as well. Sigh. Too much cash outflow. Got a NB-3 on order but don't know whether I'll have space to put it on the board now.
i own a Tim and a SS-3. To me they are really different pedals.
For me the SS-3 might be the best OD i have ever played, but it needs to be played loud, otherwise .....

Smalle boxes cost the same. Don't look so mighty in pics, but in person, you gotta see them, they are the coolest pedals ever!
Here is a pic of the SS3 on my board:

Battery-free NB-3, SS-3 and G-2

My current board is forever rotating but the basis of it has always been a SHO, RAT2 and an OD3 so I didn't want to stray too far away from that.

I was hoping you guys could help me out please . . . what is the difference between the TB-83 & the TB-83 Extra? Is it just that the TB-83 Extra has more boost? Looking at Pete's site, they seem to compliment each other and the Extra is used to drive the TB-83 more in the mix. Which one would you recommend & why?
Thanks!
Todd

tb83 extra has the footswitch to turn it on and off, tb83 is an "always on" unit.
