Another Craigslist Scam

Better than most, I guess. I responded to the ad about two weeks ago and received this response today.

"Hello,

I still have for sale the 1955 Fender Esquire Telecaster 100% original parts for the price of US$2,000. From the begining I want to tell you that a couple of days ago I left US and came to United Kingdom. I work with "Save The Children Foundation" and I had to come here, where I will have to stay at least 6 months. I hoped I will be able to sell it before I left but it didn't happened. And I had to take it with me because I had no where to leave it.

If you still want to buy it, I think that if we use an escrow shipping company will be the best and safest for both of us. If you do not want to buy it, I totally understand you. Let me know.

Thanks,
Adam"

Similar scam hit us.

We're selling my father in law's house. A CraigsList scammer got the photos from our realtor's web site and put the place up for rent on CraigsList. She said she was on a missionary trip to save children in Africa but if you send her a money order for $1,600 she'll mail you the key.

I reported it and CraigsList was real good about taking it down within an hour.

It has to be exactly my birthdate or I'm sending it back.
