Just bought a Corona Chorus...

for $89 on Hello Music. They had them on sale for 105 and since I had never bought anything from there I got a $25 discount for my first purchase...pretty sweet deal! Now i just have to wait 3 weeks (apparently) to get it. I was deciding whether or not to buy a Maxon AD-999 for $186 or the Corona, and while I know I could've sold the Ad-999 for profit if I didn't like it, I didn't see myself using it very much and the Corona seems eminently usable...

So... I'm pretty excited to get the chorus.

And one more pointless thread gets added to tgp

Apparently Hello Music takes a while to ship, I've seen a lot of posts where its taken up to three weeks for people to get their stuff and that is what it says on their website. Not really complaining, though, because I got a great deal

Wow you got it cheap! I paid a lot more for mine, although that was over a year ago.

It's a good pedal. It can make your sound very wide if you run it 100% wet on one side of a stereo signal to two amps. It doesn't muddy the bottom end of the guitar's signal as much easier, which is a really good thing. A lot of standard choruses either boost the mids making it sound honky, or boost the highs making it sound tinkly while sucking out the midrange, and generally they soften up the bottom end a little bit. That's okay with clean tones but not dirty tones- turns to mush otherwise.
