Emulating a Neunaber Stereo Wet Reverb?

I have a TC HoF and a Line 6 M9. Now i can get close to the WET sound using a bit chorus, particle verb on the m9 and church setting on the hof - but not close enough.

What is the secret to this reverb? it's more than just a bit added chorus to the reverb surely? the way the pre-delay attacks etc...

particle verb has a similar attack/pre delay but i't far to grainy and trebley - unlike WET's smoothness.

I love the sound - but I've just bought a El Cap - so £220 (that's how much they are over here.) seems a bit steep.

Don't waste your time. You can't accurately emulate a WET anymore than you can accurately emulate an EP-3. It's just not going to happen. There's too much going to for you to ever get in the same ballpark of either, with the technology that's currently available.

hmmm, i suppose you have a solid argument there. it's what you want from a pedal as i've heard people who prefer a hof to a WET. i want that smooth long refined reverb...there's defo some tone shaping going on in there for it to sound so fluid - rolled of the highs for sure - and without mid squelch/muddiness you can get from whacking the level to full wetness

You can always try running an EQ directly after the reverbs.

Haven't owned the WET. Had a M9 and now have M5 + Timeline. On the Line6 M series modelers, I never REALLY liked the reverbs. Plate, Hall and Spring verb are quite okay (I prefer the standard "spring" to the "'63 spring" model), Octa verb and Particle verb are fun for crazy stuff ... but neither sounds great IMHO. Other than the delays, which I love. You might get better results with the El Capistan reverb plus some delay.

I've just uploaded a video where I use the Strymon Timeline mainly as a reverb ... definatly doesn't sound like a WET, but still sounds great for ambient stuff:
