James Tyler Wiring Question

I had a question regarding the Lead/Rhythm wiring set-up. I actually own a Tyler Studio Elite HD and currently its set up with just the standard HSS pickup configuration and the midboost. I was wondering from all of yall that have had more experience with Tyler's than myself how the Lead/Rhythm setup that he has as an option on his studio elites actually works. I have taken a look at the schematics he has posted on his site but I had some questions; I have used the search and have come up empty handed. I've done a good amount of wiring, rewiring, modding in my day however, usually just follow schematics blindly and things usually end up working their way out.

1) The switch on the top of the standard 5-way switch is a 3 way switch? What type and what does it do? Adds bridge pickup? Splits humbucker?

2) The other toggles in-between the volume/tone are 2 way switches (Series/Parallel)? Then the 5 way will actually turn them on/off depending on the normal selectors position?
- or 3 way? Are they on-on-off, or on-on-on? Series/Parallel/Something else?

Basically if someone has some experience with this set-up if you could explain how it works it would be great! Bottom line is I'm thinking of rewiring my guitar this way if it makes sense to me. But I can't find details on what the switches do!

Thanks in advance for any help!
