Some praise for Howard Davis DMM mods

I just recieved my big box DMM from Howard a few days ago. I have to say it is the best sounding analog delay IMO before the mods but now it's heaven. Mine is very quiet which surprised me. I've heard there's noise issues in other threads. Plugged it into a BC108 Fuzz wide open and I was in Gilmour/DSOTM territory. Anyway just wanted to give praise to a living legend.

I'm surprised I don't hear more about his mods. Thanks for the post.

With all my mods it was $143 but most of that was the calibration. I felt it was fair and well worth it.

Nice! I didn't know he did cosmetic reconditioning. It doesn't even look like the same pedal anymore...

Yeah, I've heard his cosmetic mods aren't too hot, but he did a great job fixing my broken DMM from the late 70's. Sounded perfect when I got it back.

Thank you all for your appreciative comments on my work.

My cosmetic reconditioning cannot remove rust stains or dents in the steel box, but it does a good job of covering paint scratches and restoring the original glossy finish. As the last step in the process I relacquer the box. I never claim it looks as good as new, but am proud of the fact it can come close to this.
