New Amp Help

Hi, I'm in the market for a new amp. I am looking for a 30-50 watt head that can play almost anything (mostly high gain EVH style rock). I plan on gigging this amp and I already have a good practice rig. My budget is around a grand used or new.

Also, the amp must have a master volume and remain gig-able in smaller venues.

I've been looking at the 50 watt 5150 III and the 50 watt JCM 2000 DSL but I am open to any suggestions.

Of course I will try to try the amps before I buy...I'm just looking for a place to start.

Black Pearl....you might have to use a pedal to get crazy distortion, but its OK, it loves them.
