Can't help much, but out of curiosity, what does it mean to "powerboat" a pedal?

Powdercoat, smarty.

Shop around. Powder can be cheap in volume. For a one off, might cost $60 - $100 depending on the shop.

Note that powdercoat starts life as dry powder, not HVLP lacquer, or paint. Dry powder that doesn't become a finish until heated and soaked at a controlled temperature for a set duration.

Some guy with an electrically charged airbrush blasting enamel onto parts isnt powdercoating your parts. He's spraying your parts.

Ha!! Spraying your parts.

Take a look in the phonebook.
That's how I found a local powder coating shop about 20 minutes away and they did great work on the couple pedal boxes I gave them.

I was honestly asking the question, not trying to be an arse...thought a powerboat may be something like a powerplate or something. Carry on.

I have a powder coating company in a town north of where I live who will powdercoat on the cheap if you are willing to wait when they do that particular color. Most powdercoaters do it in batches because of filter and chamber alterations. I weld square bars for chairs I make from sports cars and racing cars, my powder coated gives me discounts if I wait for that particular color to come up in their rotation.
