The Worst Cough Cold I Can Remember

The worst most stubborn chest and head cold I can remember.

I've been to the Dr. and he has me on Doxycycline and Guaiatussin

Been praying to the porcelain deity several times a day seeming to be
the only way to clear this non ending glob of snot stuck in my bronchial
airway

Just awful!

If I can sleep at all, I wake up feeling like I'm drowning and gagging from all this crud in my chest.

You have my sympathy. I've been battling what the doc called bronchitis ever since last Sat. At first I was sick to my stomach and didn't eat for about two days. Now I can eat but I still feel awful, not to mention the cough. Doc said it may hang on for a week or two.

I had a terrible cold 2 weeks ago and couldn't breath through my nose. I went to the drug store and got a nasal irrigation system. It sounds gross, but it's really no big deal at all. Like a neti pot, but in a squeeze bottle with lukewarm saline solution. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it, but it wasn't bad at all, and provided considerable relief. It will clean all that crap out.

Getting my sinuses to drain is not the problem. Ugh!
