Learning a song of a Headliner, you are the opener

So last night we had a gig opening for a band I really like. They facebook'ed us out of the blue and asked us to do it, which was cool (still is). At home before the gig I put on new strings and need to play them for a bit. I learn my favorite song by the headline act.

We are all there getting things setup before the show and I start playing the main riff from the song. One of the guitar players says "Is that one of ours?". I say "yes!", then play the changes. They asked me to sit in with them on that song. Guy let me play thru his rig and everything. He was very cool about it.

I'm gonna have to start learning the songs of the other bands I play with more often, cause that was great!
