Fall Beach Vacation Help

So a group of us are looking at going to The outer banks in N.C., Somewhere in S.C., or somewhere in Michigan. All would be at a beach house of some sort. This would be the week of labor Day weekend.

So, any thoughts/suggestions of beaches at any of the above mentioned spots?

Thanks

Make a decision ASAP & book early.

That's the most important advice I can give you especially if you're trying to book something in an area like the Outer Banks for Labor Day weekend.

Been to all 3 mentioned....In my experience, Traverse City , Mi. was the best.
I highly recommend it, esp. around Labor Day. The waters will still be warm and it will just be starting to cool a bit. Water and beaches are wonderful as well as the country side. Usually not too crowded and great eats.

Outer Banks and Virginia Beach are both great choices post-Labor Day... decent hotel deals, great food and life in Va Beach- you'll have a blast...

and make sure that you tell jazznmetal that TheRockDoc assured a 'best price' on a bootiquee when you're there

My wife and I spent 3 days in and around Buxton, NC in the outer banks last Thanksgiving while our two kids were with my parents. We had a specatular time! The beaches were beautiful and a great place for the two of us to take a long walk together. The local restaurants have super fresh fish, and we even lucked out on the weather.

I have not been to the Michigan beaches, but the remore NC Outer Banks were fantastic.

The Outer Banks are beautiful in the summer.
I grew up in Norfolk VA and spent a lot of time there over the years. I have not been back since the latest hurricane as the friend I was visiting died right after the last one.
Duck, NC is the area we hung around.

I go down to Outer Banks every year about that same time. We used to go down labor day weekend but over the years it has slowly progressed deeper into September. Beginning of September it is still very much summer weather but by end of September it's usually cooled off quite a bit. Still nice though and the crowds are completely gone starting the week after labor day, the prices start dropping on rentals, and you have your pick of hundreds of houses for low bucks.
