George Evans Scorcher Overdrive

Got an amp serviced recently, and the tech/co-owner of the amp building and servicing business demonstrated his fantastic repair work by playing thru one of their newly developed overdrive pedals. I've been looking for a decent overdrive, but hadn't decided on anything. After listening to Tim play rhythm and lead with no chordal tones muddiness and still a total clarity of solo notes, I got me a George Evans Scorcher Overdrive. Not cheap, but there's no flipping this beauty.

Sorry for the light review, but all I know is that I can't wait till they give birth to their 22W amp later this year! Take that as 4/5 for the Scorcher. Woulda got 5 bar the price tag: $325. Still worth it though!

Would Love to hear a demo after you've spent some time with it.

Surprisingly, it seems neither the manufacturer or any artist has ever done one yet! I'm looking to defer to someone with more talent and review skills, but ... I'll see how it goes.
