Syncing Ableton with a loop station
Hey guys, I posted here a while ago asking for your opinions on my live set up. At this point, my set up consists of my delay pedal and tuner pedal going through my Boss RC-300 loop station, going through my half stack. On top of this, I have been playing along with beats that I've made on Ableton, which are being played through a separate speaker system. This seems like the ideal set up for a solo musician like myself, but I've run into a problem.
I can't get my loops to sync up perfectly with the beats. So the loops get more and more off from the beat with every consecutive loop. What are my options here to make this work? Any info is much appreciated! |

How does that work if the laptop is going through the PA and the guitar is going through the stack?

"(*) MIDI synchronization is possible with other RC-300 devices or when RC-300 is set to master." So the clock in the RC300 will set the tempo for the clock in Ableton. |

Hello guys,
we are trying to sync Ableton Live (6.0.11) (as slave) with a Roland RC-300 loopstation (soundcard is a RME fireface 800). We've tried everything but nothing seems to help. We think that it is some settings in Ableton Live that are not correct. Can anyone explain how to set Ableton Live as a slave? Thanks Jan |

Ableton had a lot of problems syncing to external midi clock in older versions. 9 isn't perfect, but a LOT better than previous versions. |
